Green Alder is a light loving, fast growing large shrub native to the colder regions of the world from Asia to the Americas. The latin alnobetula hints at the family this shrub belongs to, betula, the birch family. This Alder is a great shrub for reclamation, flooded areas and other hard spots to get anything to grow.
