Description
Meyer Spruce Tree is a beautiful blue-green spruce that is more disease resistant than Colorado Blue Spruce. Because this tree is more disease resistant, it is a great choice for more humid areas. Very few insects bother this evergreen. Some call this a Chinese Blue Spruce. This tree can withstand a wide variety of temperatures from -50F to 100F and still be content. It’s pretty much an all-around winner.
The young cones of the male trees are pink and the female trees are reddish-purple. Female cones stand straight up until fertilized, while male cones stick out in any direction. Meyer Spruce are not bothered by deer.
