Lynwood Gold Forsythia (Forsythia x intermedia ‘Lynwood’) is a hardy, easy to grow shrub that has beautiful spring color. Here in northern Michigan, it is one of the earliest shrubs to bloom. Moist, growing in little clusters along the branches before the foliage comes out for the summer. They thrive in most soils but do prefer good drainage. After blooming, the shrub can be trimmed. I have found that they are exceptionally resilient and live for many years. We have some here on the farm that are over forty years old.
