Description
Japanese White Birch is native to Korea and Japan but does well in the northern United States and Southern Canada. We have been growing Japanese Birch alongside our native White Birch for many years and have found the Japanese Birch nearly impervious to the Birch borer. When the trees reach about 30 Ft the borer seems to find the trees and begins to decimate the White Birch. The University of Minnesota Urban Forestry Lab has a good article about the Japanese Birch. Our other Birch.
