Hickory Bitternut is an excellent hardwood used in the production of wood for furniture, tools, and firewood. Hickory nuts are a good food source for wildlife and birds.

Description

Bitternut hickory is native to the eastern half of the United States down to most of Georgia. In Michigan it is found as far north as Grand Rapids to the Saginaw line.
