Description
Gray Birch is a beautiful native tree that grows fairly easily and provides great support for wildlife. It is sometimes confused with the Japanese Whitespire Birch, the Betula platyphylla. The gray develops a darker bark than the white Birch and it does not peel. And like the Japanese Birch it is resistant to the borer. The USDA has a page with in-depth information about the tree.
